The barrel collection at the Manchester Premier Cup game against Stalybridge Celtic realised a very healthy £185 for the Development Fund, thanks to the usual contributions and £15 of small change from one of the FCUM Radio volunteers.
We didn’t have a Pound for the Ground draw but instead we were out and about selling Christmas raffle tickets and asking supporters to take some home to sell to friends and family. Well we sold £280 worth on the night, so keep those tickets safe until 2 January when the draw is made.
So far over 4,000 tickets have been taken away by supporters to sell. Our best ever total raised was £5,300, so hopefully we are well on course to smash that figure.
Thanks to everyone for getting behind this fundraiser and don’t forget that you can still order tickets through the office or at a match from the membership stall and the volunteers’ signing-in desk.
The running total for the season now stands at £14,749 raised for the Development Fund from home matches.
This figure has taken us to over £70,000 raised through the barrels since one of our existing board members first had the idea many years ago. A tremendous success and long may it continue.
