Original FC United Steering Committee member, Robert Brady, is attempting to run the Manchester 10K on Sunday 18th May in aid of the Course You Can Malcolm tater ash fund, and you can sponsor him now.
Brady, who wrote the first ever book on FC United, An Undividable Glow, back in 2005/06 and went on to establish Course You Can Malcolm, admits running is not his forte, he prefers settees, and writing heartfelt, madcap articles. You can read his latest one - all 1,936 words of it - about why he's running the 10K, on his sponsorship page.
Sponsoring a tater ash fund might seem like an odd think to do. And arguably it is. But it's all for a good cause. The money you donate, and Robert raises, will go towards buying delicious potato hash, which will then be sold for a small, avoiding outright commercialism, profit at Course You Can Malcolm next season. So, whatever money you donate will be wisely invested and raise even more for our club. Think of it a bit like a bonus Gift Aid on top of your donation, but with potatoes, and hash.
Please sponsor whatever you can afford.
