Mike was an important member of the FC family, and his contribution to the club over many years was extensive – both in and out of the dressing room. Mike always had a smile and a joke for everyone and is fondly remembered by so many.
In addition to his long-standing commitment to the club as kitman, Mike was also involved in many other initiatives at the club, including our Christmas Comforts campaign, and the creation of FC United’s Walking Football sessions.
Mike was loved by so many around the club, and in particular by the players and staff he worked with for so long.
Former Club captain and manager Tom Greaves said: “An absolute legend, loved by everyone who knew him and was always a massive part of our dressing room at FC United. He had so much time for us all as players and nothing was too much trouble for him.”
The thoughts of everyone at FC United are with Mike’s family and friends at this difficult time.
