FC United would like to thank all those supporters who have worked tirelessly again this season selling ’Pound for the Ground’ half-time draw tickets.
In more rain and snow than sunshine, these hardy souls turn out week after week. Their efforts have raised £9,291 for the Development Fund and a further £1,985 for Club funds from cup matches.
This is staggering achievement and one which brings our move to Newton Heath that bit closer. Of course, everyone who buys a ticket week-after-week also deserves credit too but let’s be honest, the hard work is battling the elements.
Please do your bit next season and make sure that you buy a ’Pound for the Ground’ on your way into matches. Look out for those supporters in yellow bibs whose hands and faces are rapidly turning blue.
