Cedric made the brave decision to come to England to further his football career, and we were all excited to see him play for FC after a false start back in January when he originally signed before the pandemic brought the season to a premature end. It goes without saying that a huge amount of time and effort was invested by all parties in making the move possible.

Having started every competitive game this season he showed what a talent he is, with pace and power, and scored 6 goals, including the memorable turn and volley against Bootle in the FA cup. 

Unfortunately as a team which has always been built on scoring goals, and creating the chances to score those, it's become clear that with the team only hitting the net once in the last five games, we need to change of direction on the pitch, to ensure that the huge amount of attacking possession and chance creation is converted into goals, to ensure that we win games.

Neil is naturally upset to have to come to this decision, one of the hardest he's had to make as a manager, but it's become apparent that we need to bring a different type of centre-forward in. He is certain that Cedric will succeed in football, and along with everyone at FC, wishes him all the best for the future, and thanks Cedric for his commitment to FC since signing.
