Efforts made yesterday by supporters have been praised by Bury’s Safety Officer and the surrounding areas have been passed fit but we are reliant on the weather.
Having spoken to the groundsman earlier today the waterlogging caused by the thaw has now drained away. The pitch is covered at the moment because of the deep freeze expected over night.
The depth of this frost will dictate whether the game will go ahead. Therefore a pitch inspection has been arranged for 10am on New Year’s Day.
