Orchard project at Broadhurst Park - March 23rd

In Our Nature, Lakeside CIC and FC United are working together to plant a new community orchard at Broadhurst Park. We have a number of existing fruit trees within our grounds - planted by the FC Diggers over the past decade - and the project will be adding a small number and also adding a number of fruit bushes to the site. 

The trees to be added are of an apple, pear and plum variety. 

The planting event will be held on Sunday 23rd March and will be the first in a series of 4 events to help local people learn all about orchards, how to look after them and what to do with their fruits. Watch this space for info on the next 3 events.
