FC United received funding from Manchester City Council’s Neighbourhood Investment Fund to run a free multi-sport half term activity for local young people from 1pm - 5pm each day throughout the October Half Term holidays. With more than 130 young people attending (and just over 100 from our local geographic area), the event was a massive success. We are a financially inclusive club with community at the heart of our manifesto and so everyone involved with FC United of Manchester should be immensely proud that the club in its first ever season at Broadhurst Park has managed to engage with such a huge amount of young people and that the offer was free of charge. There were 100 boys and just over 30 girls aged between 4 and 14 involved in the project and the feedback from both young people and parents/guardians has been exceptional.
