We are delighted announce the loan signing of 20-year-old Andy Fisher, Blackburn Rovers’ third choice goalkeeper.
Described by the Championship club as ‘a confident and commanding keeper who is strong in the air and on the ground’, Fisher made three first team appearances for Blackburn in the EFL Trophy last season. In August 2018 the highly-rated young stopper put pen-to-paper on a fresh three-year deal to keep him at Ewood Park until 2021.
Having joined Rovers at the age of 14, Fisher signed professionally with the Lancashire club in January 2016 and has progressed through the Academy into the under-23 squad. Fisher has been Blackburn under-23 first choice keeper in the last three seasons.
He will become the third Blackburn loanee to have appeared for FC United this season, following on from fullback Lewis Thompson and forward Lewis Mansell, who played for the Reds 14 and nine times respectively.
