NEW PLAYER: Ryan Shenton

Ryan Shenton (19) is a Moston-born central midfielder who joins FC United from Curzon Ashton.

Shenton spent a long time at the Academy at Manchester United before being released when he was sixteen, as well as playing for a few local sides in Failsworth. He then did Youth Training at Rochdale before moving to Curzon Ashton, playing a lot of youth football for the Tameside club.

Shenton said “Being from Moston, I was here when the ground was being built, so I know it means a lot to everyone around here to play for this club. I’m just looking forward to getting started and meeting all the lads.”
