New Head of Catering makes his mark at FC United

Moston man Mark Goodman has been appointed as Head of Catering at FC United of Manchester.

Mark takes up this key role at an exciting time for the club as we start to work on delivering our new five-year Vision, which includes improving the match-day experience by providing (among other things) good quality and good value.

The experienced chef is already making his mark in this respect with an overhaul of our match-day dining menus, offering dishes including slow roast pork belly with cider mash and baby root vegetables, and rib eye steak with herb butter and fries.

In addition, Mark will be working with Head of Football & Academy Neil Reynolds to create fresh and nutritious meals for our academy students, to help improve their diet and support their future success.

Harriett Russell, Head of Commercial & Marketing who oversaw Mark’s recruitment, said:

“As a local man, Mark shares our vision to take Broadhurst Park to the next level as a destination venue renowned for its both its match-day dining experience and its corporate, function and hospitality offering.

“The appointment of a full-time chef enables us to expand the use of our facilities beyond match days and draw in extra revenue to the club. It’s a huge bonus to have him on board and of course we are delighted as always to employ someone local!”

Mark is a born and bred Mostonian and joins us with an impressive CV of experience from prestigious and award-winning restaurants across Manchester, including Hotel Football.
