The latest meeting of our Disabled Supporters Group took place on Saturday 11th February at Broadhurst Park.
There were lots of positives discussed at the meeting, including praise for the stewarding in the Main Stand, the difference the handrails have made for people and the fact that the 6 uneven steps are on the way to being evened out.
The group also discussed the guidance offered by Level Playing Field and further long term requirements as we continue to develop the stadium (including the installation of hearing loops and waste bins at the top of the Main Stand) and the development of an official, affiliated Disabled Supporters Group.
Actions were also identified by the supporters that attended the meeting and solutions were committed to - namely the accessibility to the disabled toilets in the ground, the raising of the profile of the group and issues around ease of access for wheelchairs in certain parts of the ground.
The group will meet again towards the end of March (date to be confirmed). All will be welcome.
