On Sunday 10^th September FC United Women make their second away trip of the week as they travel to Yorkshire to face York City Ladies.

The two teams

York City L.F.C. were founded in 1995 and are nicknamed ‘The Minsterbelles’. Winning promotion to this level in 2022, they stayed up last year by 3 points and will hope to push clearer of the drop zone in the coming season. Having gone down to defeat in their opening 2 fixtures, the Reds will be hoping it’s an opportunity to come back from Yorkshire with 3 points.

FCUMW will be looking to kick on after putting the first point on the board last weekend. This will be FC’s first trip to York’s new ground, having previously boasted a good record at Bootham Crescent. The likes of Mather, Reeves and Dill will be hoping they can make an impression and help the Reds come back with a good result.
