MATCH ARRANGEMENTS: Warrington Rylands (FA Cup)

On Saturday 16th September FC United welcome Warrington Rylands to Broadhurst Park in the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.

Kick-off: 3:00pm

The two teams

Both sides will be hoping to translate their recent good league form into the cup. Sitting in 3rd – two points ahead of FC – Rylands will be tough opposition as we look to take a step towards featuring in a national draw once more. Warrington are led by Michael Clegg who is a well-respected operator at this level and has put together a good side who will be looking for their first win at BP after the sides played out a 2-2 draw in their Moston debut last season.

FC are proving to be a formidable force at home this season; 5 gamed played, 4 clean sheets, 9 goals scored and only 1 conceded. ‘Fortress Broadhurst’ is very much alive and kicking with the team looking solid at the back and exciting going forward. Jay Fitzmartin has caught the eye in recent games, earning back-to-back man of the match awards and he’ll be looking to add to the brace he scored against BPA.

What does Warrington have in common with Wythenshawe, Westminster and St. Ives?

Food & drink

The main bar is open from 1.00pm and will close once play resumes after half time, due to a pre-booked evening function. The club would urge all supporters to be respectful to our bar staff as they close the bar and begin to turn around the space for the evening function.

For this match the SMRE bar is open from 1.00pm and will stay open until last orders at 6:30pm. We would ask supporters to go down to the SMRE at full time and enjoy a post-match drink with the players and management – hopefully to toast being one step closer to Wembley. There will not be a CYCM in the SMRE for this fixture, instead our resident DJ Simon will be spinning his vinyl down in the bar.

For the 2023/24 season the Kazbar has been fitted out with a new bar, and will be serving a selection of lager, IPA and cider. Please note this bar will only take card payments.
