FC United of Manchester FC United of Manchester FC United of Manchester Badge FC United of Manchester Pitch In

MATCH ARRANGEMENTS: Radcliffe FC

Kick-off 3pm

The two teams

Stainton Park has rarely been a happy hunting ground for FC – even when it intermittently hosted the odd home game. Last season was no better with the Reds falling to a 1-0 defeat to see in the new year. Radcliffe are early season league leaders and have assembled a squad which will undoubtedly make a strong push for promotion. Ewan Bange will be looking to score against his former club.

A great team performance in midweek saw FCUM defeat the then league leaders Ilkeston 1-0. Can FC repeat the same trick twice within 6 days? The second game of a Bank Holiday Weekend double-header, we will be looking to come away from both fixtures having put in a good performance and put down an early marker that we can compete with the best this season.

FC United are listed in the Stainton Park record books twice – what for? Read till the end to find out.

Answer: We are listed as being the opposition for Radcliffe’s highest ever attendance at Stainton Park (2081 in 2022-23) and also being the opposition in the game which saw the record ground attendance (Castleton Gabriels used Stainton Park as their home ground when 2473 saw FC win 0-3)
