On Tuesday 7th February, kick-off 7:45pm, FC United welcome West Didsbury & Chorlton to Broadhurst Park in the Semi-Final of the Frank Hannah Manchester Premier Cup. Admission is pay on the gate: £5 Adults, £3 Conc, £2 u/18s.
FC United are just one match away from reaching the final of the Manchester Premier Cup for the very first time. Following two away wins against Chadderton and Abbey Hey, FC United face West Didsbury and Chorlton at home in the Semi-Final.
In a throw-back to memorable mid-week games at Gigg Lane,
only the Main Stand will be open for supporters to watch the match from. So fans, who normally congregate in different parts of the ground, are encouraged to come together as one and create a proper good midweek cup atmosphere.
West Didsbury and Chorlton are currently 9th in North West Counties Premier League (3 leagues below FC United). This is the first time the two teams have met in a competitive fixture, but have met on 3 occasions in pre-season friendlies.
10.07.13 - West Didsbury & Chorlton 3 FC United 1
19.07.14 - West Didsbury & Chorlton 1 FC United 1
12.07.16 - West Didsbury & Chorlton 2 FC United 2
In the event that the match is drawn at full-time, it will then go straight to penalties. The winning team will face the winners of Stalybridge Celtic and Salford who play each other on the 14th February. The venue of the final has yet to be determined.
