On Saturday 5th November, kick-off 3pm, FC United welcome Bradford Park Avenue to Broadhurst Park in the Vanarama National League North – Admission is pay on the gate: £9 Adults, £5 Conc, £2 u/18s.
Bradford PA are currently bottom of the league having picked up only 7 points from their first 17 matches. Their only win was away at Altrincham who are also on 7 points.
This match is the first of a run of seven matches against opposition currently in the bottom half of the league, so it’s vital that we pick up as many points as possible from these crucial games.
Saturday’s match will also be the first time we have staged a game at Broadhurst Park on the same day when MCFC are at home.
FC United supporters may remember we recently secured planning consent to remove the planning condition which previously prevented this from happening.
As part of this consent we are required to have a traffic impact survey done on the day of the first clash which is this Saturday and we are keen to ensure this goes well.
With this in mind the Club would like to remind members of our commitment to our Travel Plan which looks to encourage supporters to travel to the ground using public transport to minimise traffic impact within our neighbourhood.
As well as the regular services bus services the Match Day Shuttle buses will run at 2pm & 2.20pm from Stevenson Square straight to Broadhurst Park returning 5 minutes after the final whistle.
The Metrolink is running a normal service this Saturday. The nearest stop is Newton Heath & Moston and there is the usual free shuttle bus running to the ground from the Railway Pub which is close to this station.
Any supporters driving to Broadhurst Park might want to leave more time as traffic is likely to be heavier than normal. Please park considerately using our official car park at St Matthews school or the unrestricted on-street spaces along Lightbowne Road.

TOY COLLECTION ON SATURDAY
For many parents seeing the look of delight on their children’s faces as they open their presents on Christmas morning is one of the highlights of the year. But for many families and young people Christmas can, for a variety of reasons, be a struggle.
This year we’ll be looking to do our bit to help by working with the Frost Foundation to stage the very first
FC United Toy Story on Saturday 17th December at our home match against Boston United.
We are asking all supporters to donate a toy which will be collected by the Frost Foundation at the match on 17th December and distributed to families and young people in need over the Christmas period.
If you can’t make it to the match on 17th December then we will also be collecting toys at all first team home matches up to the Boston match.
BIG COAT DAY COLLECTION ON SATURDAY
As part of our BIG COAT DAY initiative, we will be continuing to collect coats, warm clothing and footwear to distribute to homeless people.
So if you have any spare items of warm winter clothing or footwear that you would like to donate to this season’s Big Coat Day (in reasonable condition of course) then you can bring them along to the match on Saturday or any other home matches up to (and including) the final collection at Big Coat Day itself on Sunday 1st January 2017.
