Margy considers shake up
FC United may have a brand new strikeforce in action against Leigh Genesis at Gigg Lane on Saturday as manager Karl Marginson looks to shake things up and get his side’s promotion push back on course.
Carl Lomax is ready to make his debut after signing from Hyde United and Leigh striker Phil Marsh is considering switching his allegiances just hours before the game. If Marsh does sign for the Reds, the pair could start up front as the extent of the injury to UniBond top-scorer, Kyle Wilson is still no clearer.
However, Margy has not made any decision yet so Tommy Turner and Tristam Whitman will be fighting to keep their places in the starting XI despite drawing a blank in the three goal defeat at promotion rivals Nantwich Town last week.
Meanwhile, captain David Chadwick has recovered from an ankle knock which restricted him to the substitutes’ bench against the Dabbers, Dave Neville returns from a one match ban and Carlos Roca should be available for selection after shaking off a hamstring strain.
FC United versus Leigh Genesis is this Saturday 14th February, with kick-off at 3pm. It’s pay on the gate and the usual prices apply. Get yourself to that football ground.
