Live Well Pop-up Festival Events

FC United of Manchester will be hosting a free community health pop-up events at Broadhurst Park as part of the Greater Manchester Live Well Spring Festival.

The pop-ups will offer free blood pressure checks, a chance to experience the community gym, learn more about your heart health and provide a relaxed space simply for a brew and a chat. No booking is required, whether you’re a regular at the club or visiting for the first time, this event is welcoming to everyone!

Prioritising the community is one of our key principles at FC United, as we believe we can play a bigger role for our community than just a football club. The club is continuing to be a place of support and inclusion by taking part in the Live Well Spring Festival.

Why having blood pressure checks matters

Regular blood pressure checks are essential because high blood pressure (hypertension) often has no symptoms, meaning many people don’t realise they have it until serious damage occurs. According to the NHS, high blood pressure is a major risk factor for heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, and other lifethreatening conditions, and the only way to detect it early is through routine testing

Dates and times of the pop-up festivals are; Tuesday 17th March at 12.30-3.30pm and Saturday 21st March 12pm-2.30pm at FC United of Manchester (Entrance via the Community gym).
