Kick Racism Out of Football: All Welcome at FC!

FC United’s manifesto states that “The club will develop strong links with the local community and strive to be accessible to all, discriminating against none”. As we know there are increasing tensions in our communities around immigration and as a consequence sadly an increase in incidents of racism.

FC’s Community Committee sets out to harness the power of sport to make a positive impact on our community, enhancing lives through various initiatives and programmes. By our community we mean the people who live and work in Moston and surrounding neighbourhoods of North Manchester, it also includes the community of FC members and friends. A guiding principle of the Club and the Committee is to support inclusion and diversity.

On 17th January 2026 the Committee is organising a Kick Racism Out of Football event at Broadhurst Park.

To date plans forming include a performance at CYCM and if weather permits outside on the Boardwalk by the Women Asylum Seekers Together choir and a football match at 2pm on the 3G involving supporters and refugees from local hotels.

The small subgroup of the Community Committee organising the event would welcome help from supporters and members, either in joining planning conversations or on the day. For example help organising the friendly game including players and helping ensure our visitors are made to feel welcome. Anyone able to help is invited to email Stacy at the Club on stacy.partridge@fc-utd.net
