IVB - New Year Knees Up

The Irwell Valley Branch invite all FCUM supporters and friends to our first ever ’IVB New Years Knees Up’ at Bury FC social club on Friday 27th January from 8pm.

We have a live band the boneshakers + dj pace + olly on the pipes.

The boneshakers set is early 60’s r’nb tunes by bo diddley, chuck berry, rolling stones, dr feelgood, screaming lord sutch ect. Some you will recognise and some you may not, but all have the rock steady beat to get you on your feet

The band are led by our very own volunteer Mike ’I’ve only a few tickets left’ Platt on vocals, Terry walsh (ex gone Beggin’) on lead guitar and vocals (supports the Blackburn bog rats),
Brian croisdale (roundhouse and the beathovens) on bass and vocals (a die hard burnley dingle fan), Dave ’animal’ almond (beathovens) on drums, Liz nightingale saxophone & flute and plays in too many bands to mention.

The band got rave reviews last summer at the Beatherder Festival in Yorkshire and also at the Blackburn and Darwen r’nb festival.

DJ Pace will be on the decks giving us his usual quirky set to suit all tastes. He has also promised us a vocal solo or two.

Late addition to the line up will be Olly (M40 loyalist) on the bagpipes, serenading us with FC United tunes (ask him nicely and he may get his ukulele out... ooh missus!!!

Add to all that a quality buffet supper (all who attended the December race night gave it 10 out of 10 for both content and presentation).
