FC United is proud to be taking part in the Pledgeball project, an exciting initiative that helps sports clubs, supporters and local communities take positive action on climate change and sustainability.
As a supporter-owned club with strong community values, we know that meaningful change comes from listening to our members and fans. That's why we're inviting supporters, volunteers and members of our community to help shape this project from the very beginning.
Ahead of our pre-season friendly against Salford City on Saturday 18th July, we'll be hosting an informal engagement session to gather ideas and hear from supporters.
Date: Saturday 18th July
Time: 12:00pm – 1:30pm
Location: FC United of Manchester
Food: Refreshments will be provided
The Pledgeball project is intentionally open and evolving, and we want supporters at the heart of it.
During the session, we'll explore:
Whether you're passionate about sustainability, active travel, community engagement or simply want to help shape an important club initiative, we'd love to hear your ideas.
We're also looking to establish a small working group to help drive the project forward over the coming months.
Strong communication will be vital to the success of this initiative, so we're particularly keen to hear from anyone with experience or interest in:
If you'd like to play an active role in helping FC United communicate and develop this work, the engagement session will be a great opportunity to express your interest and find out more.
As an added bonus, the first 20 people to sign up for or attend the engagement session will receive a free match ticket for the pre-season friendly against Salford City later that day.
This project is about bringing supporters together to help create a more sustainable future for FC United and our community. Your ideas, experiences and enthusiasm can help shape how we approach climate action as a club.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday 18th July and hearing your thoughts.
Together, let's make a positive difference on and off the pitch.
