Ground Cleanup Day & More!

Ground Cleanup Day
With the start of the new league season upon us - and the excitement building - we have one last push to ensure Broadhurst Park is also ‘match fit’. We’re planning a final ground tidy up day on Thursday 27th July with a particular emphasis on the surrounding grounds, bushes and lawns. If volunteers could bring along any equipment for the trimming of bushes that would be a great help on the day!
Inside the ground the focus will be on cleaning seats, putting up flags and emptying those final stubborn corners of debris. Any help at all will be appreciated, come along between 10 am and 3pm, entry via main reception.

Structural Engineer
We are looking to undertake a structural survey of Broadhurst Park as per the Green Guide guidance, to keep costs to a minimum we are asking if any co-owners are accredited in this area and could volunteer their expertise to the club?

Season Ticket Ringrounds
Next week we will be pressing forward with our weekly ringrounds to those season ticket holders who are yet to renew for the new season. Calls will be taking place from the Club Office on Wednesday and Thursday of next week, if you can spare an hour why not pop between 5 – 7pm and let’s drive those numbers for next season.

Match Day Traffic Marshalls and Stewards
After our recent adverts for Pound for the Ground sellers and turnstile volunteers generated a number of new supporters getting involved on a match day, we are looking to repeat this success in another crucial match day function.

Traffic marshalls are an important part of maintaining our good relationship with the local community and are based on the streets off St Mary’s Road to ensure visiting supporters park considerately to residents. We can’t guarantee good weather, but we can promise you will be providing a highly-valued service for both the club and the community – and you’ll be finished in time for kick-off.

Volunteer stewards ensure the costs the club incurs by running a match day are kept as affordable as possible. It is a crucial role for both home and away fans, to ensure every supporter experiences Broadhurst Park as a safe, enjoyable and fun football ground.
