May Half Term Football Camp at FC United of Manchester
FC United's HAF programme returned this May half term, with over 120 children taking part across four action-packed days of football fun.
The sessions were open to children on free school meals, ensuring that cost was never a barrier to quality sporting activity. We had an average of 36 children attending each day, which made the camp a huge success both on and off the pitch. The young players enjoyed a packed programme of football games and activities delivered by FC United's friendly coaching staff, with plenty of smiles, energy, and team spirit on show throughout the week.
Noah, one of the participants, summed it up perfectly in his own words: "The camps are really fun, and all the staff are nice and friendly." The impact has been felt at home too, with parents noticing real changes in their children. One parent shared: "My son absolutely loves coming here, he's grown so much in confidence and is always looking forward to the next ones." It’s great seeing the positive impact this programme is having in the community.
We'd like to thank Manchester Active for their continued support in making these sessions possible. FC United remains committed to making football accessible to all young people across the community, and our HAF programme is central to that.
Keep an eye on our website and social media for upcoming HAF dates, we'd love to see you there!
