Fund the Foundations update: July, August, September 2024

After three months of the new season, we’ve got a very exciting update from the Fund the Foundations team – including details of our first repayment!

For the three months of July, August and September we’ve seen donations total £4,833.48. It’s a really steady start to the year, with last year’s total at the same stage being £5,550.95, when we benefited from some big early donations too get us under way. Since the scheme’s inception last year, you have raised a total of £30,115.42.

Our donation levels have remained really consistent over the summer months, but we’d love to step it up a notch and encourage as many supporters as possible to get involved. If an extra 250 fans signed up for a £15 a month direct debit, we’d generate an extra £45,000 in donations over the next 12 months! SIGN UP FOR A £15 DIRECT DEBIT HERE.

THE BIG NEWS

We’re delighted to announce that we have taken the first step to reducing our borrowings. Our Finance & Risk Committee and Club Board approved a £10,000 repayment to one of our loans. This has reduced our borrowing on a loan which is accruing interest at 7% - a fantastic turnaround for the club to be in a position to begin making repayments. 

This is just the start, an important first step. As we look to celebrate two decades of fan-ownership, together we can scale up our fundraising and continue the good work off the pitch, which creates the resources to advance further on the pitch.
