So, it’s safe to say it’s been a busy first month since the launch of Fund The Foundations.
Donations are still coming in, and there’s plenty of planning going on behind the scenes which we’ll announce as soon as we can.
But in the meantime we’re excited to share the latest news with you all.
Firstly we have the all important latest figures, with the total up to the end of August being £13,591.80. This means we’re already a whopping 67.96% of the way towards the £20,000 target for the year!
This is made up of £3,301.30 from one-off donations, and £10,290.50 from direct debits and standing orders spread over 12 months.
A huge thanks again to all those who have donated and supported the scheme so far.
And as it’s the end of the first month, that means the first reward is now ready to be given away!
Everyone who made a donation before 1st September will be entered into a draw for the brand new home shirt, and this will take place on Saturday before the Bradford Park Avenue game.
Nadim has drawn the short straw and will therefore be drawing names out of a hat in the main stand bar at 1:30pm, before the lucky winner will be presented with a shirt on the pitch by Neil Reynolds.
Please note: The presentation will be more of a ceremonial type thing as the Club Shop will need it back after! The stock is due to land in the next 2-3 weeks and we’ll then happily hand over your prize!
Thanks also to all those who have signed up your children to the Kids For A Quid campaign. We’re a little short on help at the moment due to the FTF group volunteering elsewhere or being on holiday, and we want to make it a special occasion for the kids, so we’re going to put the draw and presentation back a couple of weeks. We’re aiming for this to now take place at the Whitby game on 23rd September, and we’ll announce further news as soon as we can.
Finally, as it’s the start of month number two we’ll also be revealing September’s reward imminently.
