We are expecting a big crowd at North Manchester Day with more than 500 free tickets handed out so far to local people.
The game against Ashton United on Bank Holiday Monday at Broadhurst Park is free to attend for anyone living in Moston, Harpurhey and the surrounding areas.
People coming along will enjoy the atmosphere and the day out, according to Moston resident Kev who moved to the area a few years ago and is now a season ticket holder at FC United.
Kev said: “When we moved to Moston I was curious about FC United and decided to check it out. My first game made a lasting impression, it reminded me of what I love about football; being close to the action, able to walk around the stadium freely, and a really friendly and humorous bunch of fans.
“I'm now a season ticket holder and I love the pre-match entertainment, with a live band under the terrace! Get down to Broadhurst Park and check it out, I guarantee you will be hooked!”
And Kev’s partner Hala also loves matchdays at Broadhurst Park.
She said: “We're so lucky to have a grassroots football club in the local community. Everyone at the club is so friendly and welcoming.
“It's truly for all people; whatever their age, race or gender. The pre-game entertainment is a true treasure trove of new talent and an unexpected extra each match! I'd recommend going to a game to anyone - they'll definitely be pleasantly surprised!”
