Following the success of our joint project with Greater Manchester Police last year which led to a sharp reduction in anti social behaviour in Miles Platting, we are very pleased to announce that we are starting a number of drop-in football sessions in conjunction with the police starting in half term (week commencing 18th February).
MONDAY - 6pm to 7:45pm, Orford Road Playing Field, Newton Heath.
MONDAY - 8pm to 10pm at Wright Robinson College, Gorton
WEDNESDAY - 6pm to 8pm at Victoria Mill Park, Miles Platting
THURSDAY - 5pm to 7pm at Ravensbury School, Clayton
FRIDAY 6pm to 8pm at Cedar Mount Academy, Gorton
At all locations the first hour will be for 9-13 year olds and the second hour for 14-19 year olds. The sessions are free and will run for 10 weeks.
The objective of the sessions is to support the development of closer relationships between local police officers and local young people in each area.
The sessions will be led by our first team player, Adam Jones.
