February Cup Fever for FC Youth
Having returned to competitive action against Altrincham, just in time to avoid January being totally wiped out, FC’s youth team turn their attention to cup football in February with a scheduled three cup games in four weeks. No that isn’t me presuming success before the games are played there are three separate cup competitions.
After a bye in the first round, February 7th sees Bootle visit St Bride’s Field in the NWYA Open Cup, the competition we didn’t win last year, in which teams from all three divisions of the NWYA take part.
The following week sees the return of the Manchester FA County Cup. At the time of writing all that is known is that the date has been booked, opponents and venue have yet to be announced. Please watch this space for further details.
On February 28th we travel to Woodley for the quarter final of the Premier Division Cup. This is a competition known last year as the Neil Thomason Memorial Cup, which we did win beating Nantwich at, of all places Woodley.
If all that is too confusing you can relax with plain ordinary League Action, on the 21st the visitors to St Bride’s are Nantwich.
Cup competitions kick off at 1:30pm, league action at 2:00pm.
