FC United of Manchester Women are happy to announce the appointment of Colin Carruthers as the new Assistant Manager for the Women’s First Team going into next season.
Carruthers has previous worked at the Manchester FA as a Disabilities & Inclusion Community Activator and has been a Head Coach at various teams within the North West Counties Football League as well as spending a lot of time working with young players with the North West Youth Alliance League. With a UEFA B License, Talent ID Level 2 and experience working with youth talent at Liverpool Football Club Foundation as a coach, Colin brings valuable football knowledge and qualifications that will help bolster the strength of our backroom.
Colin stated, “Once Jennie spoke to me about this opportunity my mind was instantly made up - the only answer was yes. To work alongside Jennie is an experience and I feel I can learn so much from her. I am really looking forward to getting started.”

With his diverse experience, leadership, and strong organisational skills, he will undoubtedly elevate our team’s performance, bringing a fresh perspective and support for our journey this season.”
