Community Day 2026
Saturday 18 April marked a hugely successful Community Day at FC United of Manchester, with more than 250 people attending to take part in a vibrant programme of activities celebrating local organisations, wellbeing, and community spirit.
Held at Broadhurst Park ahead of the first‑team fixture against Hyde United, the event showcased the breadth of support services available across North Manchester. Families, supporters, and local residents gathered throughout the day to engage with stalls, activities, and demonstrations, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere despite intermittent rain.
Speaking after the event, Community Manager Stacy Partridge said: “Today has been a great day, despite the intermittent rain, which didn’t stop us having a great time with lots of activities for the local community. It’s also really important to us to have all of these organisations be part of the day, so we can show local residents what support and services they can access locally.”
The club would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to the over 20 organisations who generously gave their time and energy to make the day such a memorable occasion. Their involvement ensured there was something for everyone, from health and wellbeing advice to fitness activities, family entertainment, and practical community support.
Organisations who supported and took part in the Community Day included:
From interactive fitness sessions and boxing demonstrations to health advice, community guidance, and family‑friendly fun, the range of activities reflected FC United’s ongoing commitment to using football as a force for positive social change.
Community Day once again highlighted what FC United of Manchester represents beyond the pitch: community ownership, partnership working, and local pride. Hosting the event before kick‑off strengthened the connection between matchdays and the wider community, with many attendees staying on to support the team against Hyde United.
The club would like to thank everyone who attended, volunteered, and contributed to making the day such a success and looks forward to continuing to work alongside local organisations to deliver positive community impact across North Manchester.
