FC United Launches "Hear the Game, Your Way" Ear Defender Scheme

FC United of Manchester is pleased to introduce a new initiative designed to make matchdays more accessible and enjoyable for young supporters who may experience sensitivity to noise.

Through our new "Hear the Game, Your Way" scheme, families attending matches at Broadhurst Park will be able to access ear defenders for children and young people who may benefit from additional support with sound and sensory processing.

Football stadiums can be exciting and vibrant places, but for some supporters, loud noises, crowd reactions, announcements, and matchday atmosphere can feel overwhelming. By making ear defenders available, we hope to create a more comfortable and inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy watching FC United.

The initiative is part of the club's ongoing commitment to ensuring football is accessible for all members of our community, regardless of their individual needs.

Health Co-ordinator, Lauren Gregory said:

"At FC United, we believe football should be enjoyed by everyone. We know that some children and young people can find the noise and atmosphere of matchdays challenging, and we wanted to provide a simple way to support families. By making ear defenders available, we hope more young fans can enjoy the excitement of matchday in a way that feels comfortable for them."

Ear defenders will be available to borrow at home matches, simply go to the reception and you will be able to pick a pair up.

We look forward to welcoming all supporters to Broadhurst Park and continuing to make FC United a place where everyone feels they belong.
