Manchester FA is holding its Grassroots Football award ceremony on Friday 15th November with a number of prestigious awards to be decided. Manchester United and England international Ella Toone will be present on the night to announce the winners.

Alfie Marran-Jones has become a familiar face around Broadhurst Park with his many volunteering efforts which include: creating content for our social media channels, announcing goal scorers and substitutions on the tannoy at our men’s team games and helping the kit team to make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

We are delighted to announce that off the back of a nomination from former Board member Matthew Haley in February, Alfie has been shortlisted for the Young Volunteer of the Year award.

Alfie said: “Being nominated for Manchester FA’s Young Volunteer of the Year award is down to the brilliant support and opportunities I have been given by FCUM, from Reno, Joe and the kit team, Chantal, Chris B and the board. I love volunteering for our club and will continue to try my best to make everyone from FCUM proud.”

We’d like to thank Alfie for all of his fantastic volunteering efforts so far and wish him the best of luck at the awards ceremony which will take place at The Sheridan Suite.
