It’s time to get those passports out! We’re delighted to confirm the 2024 Fenix Trophy Finals will take place in Desenzano del Garda from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th May.

The semi-finals will take place on Friday 10th, with the Saturday kept free as a rest day for teams to enjoy the stunning surroundings before the third-place play-off and final on the Sunday.

Although FC United have not yet qualified for the finals, as we have two games left to play in the group stages, the club has received funding from the Fenix Trophy organisers to cover the entire cost of the squad’s return flights.

Packages for supporters
What’s more, the organisers have this year added extra benefits and packages for fans and the squad alike. Firstly, there are accommodation packages available for fans to purchase, with options to suit all budgets, from four-star hotels with bed and breakfast, to bedrooms in bungalows or mobile homes.

FC United will very kindly receive 25 euros from each accommodation booking, and each booking includes the weekend stadium ticket entry, a commemorative Fenix Trophy scarf, free entry to a beach disco with a free drink, and two free drinks to use at the Fenix Trophy Beer and Food Village, which will be open to all fans attending the finals and a great chance to mingle with the fans of other clubs.

Delighted
Upon hearing the news, first team manager Neil Reynolds said: “We’re delighted at the prospect of taking the squad to Lake Garda this year and we’re really looking forward to it.

“We’re aware we still have some work to do against Dragoons and Vinsky to get through to the finals first, but we’re looking forward to the challenge and hopefully going to our third Fenix Finals weekend to wrestle back the Trophy we lost last year!”

Club captain Charlie Ennis added: “I’ve said it before but it’s such and unique experience no matter how you look at it. The lads are getting the opportunity to play competitive football in Europe – it’s something not many non-league players will ever have the opportunity to do!

“Although I’ve been lucky enough to be involved in the tournament since it started, for some of our newer players it will be a first and we’re all excited! Even though it’s after our season finishes, we’re going to be training all the way through to make sure we are 100% prepared because we want to win it back. We know the standard of the competition is improving, so we need to also raise our game!”

The address for the final is Stadio Francesco Ghizzi, Via Giotto, 104, 25015 Desenzano del Garda BS
