CYCM Preview: Stalybridge Celtic

Well, who knew that the first CYCM of 2024 would be in advance of a friendly? But. Serious business, it’s all about raising funds so, appropriately, we’ve not shirked on the acts.

First up, we have Ilaria Passeri, who was due to appear before the postponed Radcliffe game way back in 2023. She’ll be bringing her storytelling skills to the Caring Stage this Saturday. There will as usual be tater ash and cheese pies, home-made mushy peas and home-made non-mushy muffins. For anyone who sampled for the first time the taste sensation that is mint sauce on mushy peas at BPA last week, we have good news - we have jars of nicer mint sauce than there was in that funny big bottle, ready for you to try on our also-nicer-peas. The muffin flavour will be apple and crystallised ginger, as promised for the Radcliffe game originally (don't worry, they didn't get baked in December).
 

Also - we've had some badges made. Typically-subtle wear them to school behind your blazer lapel one-inch sized, of course. Available if you get there early enough. We're working on a sales pitch for them, using our collective marketing flair, because they're really nice. So expect a low-key announcement nearer the time - unless we forget.
