CYCM Preview: Stafford Rangers

This is a special festive fundraising event organised jointly by Fund the Foundations and CYCM. As well as a stall, silent auction and raffle there's also a quiz, plus a special appearance at CYCM from Reno and the squad, from 1.15-1.45pm.

After that we are delighted to have Kitty to play some live music for us. Her set is from 2.15pm onwards. New on the scene, Kitty is a Manchester-based singer-songwriter known for her “meditative, glistening perfections”, says Gathering Speed. With her ethereal vocals and contemplative guitar, Kitty is known to quieten a room of many (please don't take this as a challenge………), taking influence from artists such as Sibylle Baier and Nick Drake. With her debut gig around the corner, Kitty has recently introduced Bass (Liam Ogburn) and Trombone (Andy Leeming) to her performance, and though the bass player in good CYCM style has double-booked himself we're very pleased to welcome the trombonist as I'm sure we can all agree that nothing says Christmas more than a trombone solo.

Due to the CYCM volunteers' inability to have more than one car between them (think The Anthill Mob in Wacky Races…) there will not be pies available on Sat - soz. However there will be muffins, festive ones at that - apple and mincemeat streusel no less.

So get yourselves to our football ground as early as you can to join in the fun. Christmas jumpers strongly discouraged.
