We’re delighted to confirm that Nadim will be staying on in the newly remodelled role of Office and Administration Manager
A couple of weeks ago, we announced that our Business Manager, Nadim Hammad, would be leaving FC United at the end of October.
Since then, under the leadership of our new General Manager, Frances Fielding, the club has taken the opportunity to review what we most need from this role going forward. That review led us to remodel the position, with a revised focus on office and administrative responsibilities that are essential through the week and no longer require regular Saturday working.
With that reshaped role in place, it became clear that Nadim’s skills and experience made him the right fit to continue with us. We’re therefore delighted to confirm that he will be staying on in the newly remodelled role of Office and Administration Manager.
In recent weeks we advertised this role and received a number of strong applications. We’d like to thank everyone who expressed interest and for the enthusiasm shown in supporting the club.
Reflecting on the decision, Frances Fielding said:
“As part of my first review, I identified the club most needed a role focused on office and administrative support during the week. Nadim’s experience, knowledge of the club, and commitment made him the ideal person to continue in this capacity.”
This is fantastic news for FC United. Nadim has been a hugely valued part of the team since joining as a staff member in 2022, and of course as a volunteer and supporter long before that. His knowledge of the club, his professionalism, and his commitment have been vital in so many areas of our operations.
The change also means Nadim can once again enjoy matchdays from the stands as a supporter, while continuing to make a big contribution behind the scenes during the week.
Reflecting on the decision, Nadim said:
“It feels like the best of both worlds – I get to carry on working for the club I love, and I’ll also be able to enjoy matchdays again as a fan. I’m grateful for all the kind messages I received, and I’d like to thank Frances and the board for their support throughout this process. I’m really looking forward to continuing the journey with FC.”
We’d also like to thank everyone who sent kind words and best wishes when his departure was first announced. Those messages meant a lot to Nadim – and now, with his experience and energy still in the team, we’re in a stronger position to keep building for the future.
