FC United were advised yesterday that the Gigg Lane pitch was frozen. In light of the forecast of further severe frost and the distance to be travelled by our opponents, FC United sought permission from the League to hold an early pitch inspection.
A pitch inspection has been held this afternoon (Tuesday) and the match between FC United of Manchester and Chasetown, due to be played on Wednesday 1st December 2010, has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.
