Youth United @ Organising Meeting, Tuesday January 16th 7.00pm
Waldorf Hotel, Gore Street, Central Manchester
Calling all Teachers, Youth Workers & Junior Football Team Officials
The club is asking all FC United supporters working with schools, colleges, youth centres and junior football teams to attend a special meeting organising Youth United day and developing our work to get young people involved in sport and FC United.
Our aim is to exchange ideas and information and develop the club’s offering to young people in education, sports and recreations. The club already has a great price structure to attract youth to its games. FC United is the only club offering a big match atmosphere at truly affordable prices for the young. We also want to attract organised groups of young people to the match experience, so it can link in with their overall development and enjoyment of sport.
We have staged several successful football coaching events and tournaments. Recent events have also shown that club activities, such as banner-making, match report and portrait competitions, can be a positive offer for young people, linking in with the demands of the National Curriculum and project work. We want to take the FC United message into schools, colleges and clubs, and show them that FC United is a place where they can enjoy themselves and develop.
People United Day brought some marvellous contingents of young people from schools, colleges, youth clubs and junior football teams. FC United wants to see this repeated in every locality.
So, if you are an FC United supporter working with schools, colleges, youth centres or junior football teams, please register your attendance with Vinny at
vthompsonfcutd@aol.com . And if you want to help, please contact us with any ideas that you have.
