The hard work and dedication of FC’s volunteers was recognised at the MCR Sports Awards in Manchester on Saturday night.
The MCR Sports Awards is an annual event, led by Manchester City Council and MCR Active. We were shortlisted in the Club of the Year category, with the nominating panel particularly recognising the dedication and hard work of our many volunteers.

Whilst we didn’t win, we’re very proud to have made the final three - and to have had the opportunity to tell the club’s story to a wider audience, alongside so many other important figures across the city’s sporting landscape.
The trophies for the event were made from a section of the old velodrome track at the National Cycling Centre, which has hosted numerous World and National Championships, and represents a fantastic piece of Manchester’s sporting history.

And on the subject of trophies, we were delighted to showcase our 2023/24 Fenix Trophy and 2023/24 Manchester FA Women’s Challenge Cup. They took pride of place at the event, alongside some other famous cups…

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers, whose dedication, spirit, and hard work make this club what it is.
