What is the AGM?
FC United’s Annual General Meeting takes place towards the end of each calendar year and allows Co-owners to vote on a series of motions and elect candidates to the club’s Board. In addition the club will update Co-owners on activity across the club, including finance, community and football.
Where and when is the AGM being held?
This year’s AGM will take place at Broadhurst Park on Sunday 1st December, with the meeting starting at 11am. There will also be the opportunity to attend online with the link emailed out to Co-owners in advance. There is no need to register to attend the meeting, please come along on the day.
What will Co-owners be voting on?
At this year’s meeting, we will be holding an election to the club’s board. In addition there will be votes on motions regarding the club’s rules, Fenix Trophy, season ticket prices, match day admission prices and shirt designs for next year’s playing shirts.
Can I view papers and ask questions in advance of the meeting?
Yes, absolutely. The members’ area has all relevant documents uploaded – including a breakdown of resolutions and members’ votes and candidate statements from board candidates. You can also ask questions to the candidates on the members’ area. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS.
How do Co-owners vote?
Voting opens once the meeting closes, with Co-owners receiving a link via email to vote using the online voting system. Those Co-owners who have a preference for a postal vote have already received their paperwork in the post prior to the meeting.
Will my vote make a difference?
100%. As a fully fan-owned football club, the more Co-owners who use their vote the stronger our democratic functions will be. We each own an equal share of our football club, with our voices each holding an equal weight.
This year one of the proposed motions requires a minimum voting turnout if it is to pass.
