Advance notice of 2024 AGM

The 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of FC United of Manchester will take place on Sunday 1st December 2024 at Broadhurst Park, 310 Lightbowne Road, Moston, Manchester, M40 0FJ. Registration opens at 10.30am and the meeting will start at 11am.

All members will receive full formal notification of the meeting no later than 21 days before the AGM.

Currently there are eight board members (including one co-opted member under rule 61 of the Club Rules). Four will be one year into a two-year term following election last year. The board can be made up of a maximum of seven people (not including co-opted members who are additional to this number), meaning there will be three vacancies.

One board member has reached the end of their current two-year term, and two board members who were appointed to fill vacancies during the year must also stand down (however they will be able to be invited, at the board’s discretion, to fill any vacancies which exist after the election). Additionally, the one co-opted board member will also be required to formally stand down at the AGM but is able to be co-opted for a further term after the election.

Stand for the Club Board

Any member wishing to stand as a candidate for the Club Board should submit a written nomination to the Company Secretary who will confirm receipt.

The nomination should:

a. be endorsed by not fewer than five other members who, in granting their endorsement, state that to the best of their knowledge the member seeking election to the Club Board fulfils the criteria set out in these rules;
b. clearly state that the member wishes to stand for election to the Club Board at the forthcoming AGM;
c. declare eligibility to be a member of the Club Board;
d. be written in clear English and be clear to read;
