A tribute to Mark Stopford

Mark Stopford, a popular and well know figure at FC United sadly passed away in 2021.

He was much loved and will be missed by many and a collective of Mark’s friends and family are putting together an event to encompass his positive spirit and celebrate his life.

He was always the first to volunteer his time to help others and make good things happen. His passion for music and football was infectious making those around him feel positive about the world.

The event is an all-day gig at Moston Miners Club, including some of his favourite bands. The venue is over the road from FC United where Mark spent so much of his time.

Event starts at 1:00pm until Midnight.

The name Doomfest is taken from footage of Mark announcing that the band he was most looking forward to seeing at MPF was Doom, leading to the nickname Mark Doom.

His friends and family welcome you to the event to celebrate the life of a special individual.
