Match Report
The new season got off to a promising start, with a good pre-season behind them, the U18’s side were hoping to get maximum points on the board.
The fixture was technically at home but played at Woodleys Lambeth Grove. Chris Simms new look FC side totally bossed the first half, with Woodley unable to get out of their own half, but they still only went in 1-0 up at half time after a well taken finish by Vidal Mike, younger brother of Leon.
The second half was a more competitive affair and despite more good passing and possession from FC it was Woodley who finally managed to take their chance and get the equaliser.
It finished all square with the FC Utd U18’s feeling disappointed that all their possession hadn’t been converted into more goals, but there certainly seems to be more to come from the youth team this season.
