FC United of Manchester’s Academy ’A’ team went down to a 2-5 away defeat against Orange Soccer Ltd Men’s 1sts at Poolfoot Farm, Thornton, in their latest ECFA NW Men’s Invitation 2A League fixture on Wednesday afternoon.
After conceding early goals in the 6th and 15th minutes, the Young Reds pulled one back on 19 minutes through XAVIER IWEGBU from just inside the penalty area.
However, a third goal on 40 minutes for the home side gave Orange Soccer a 3-1 lead at the interval, and their advantage was further extended with goal number four on 74 minutes, to make it 4-1.
KANE STOCKLEY pulled another goal back for the visitors on 78 minutes, direct from a free-kick, before Orange Soccer Ltd Men’s 1sts completed the scoring on 82 minutes, to make the final score 5-2.
