FC United of Manchester Youth opened their new season campaign in the National League u19 Alliance ’J’ Division with a disappointing 0-4 reverse against last season’s runners-up Guiseley AFC Youth at Nethermoor on Wednesday afternoon.
The home side opened the scoring on 20 minutes when KAYLE PRICE fired into the roof of the net from close range.
On 26 minutes, it was 2-0 when ALBERT IBRAHIMI converted a left wing cross.
Four minutes later, it was 3-0 when CRAIG HALL narrowly won a race to a loose ball to score from the edge of the penalty area.
FC United’s Nelson Onwusiri went close with two shots on goal before the referee blew for half-time.
The second half was a much closer contest, with Guiseley AFC Youth making sure of the final result on 87 minutes with goal number four, as LEWIS WADDINGTON headed home a cross from the right.
