FC United of Manchester Academy 'A' team completed a home and away AoC Sport Summer Series - North West Men's Football Championship Group 1 league "double" against the Fowler Education & Football Academy Team One with this 3-0 away win at the Wavertree Sports Arena on Wednesday afternoon.
The Young Reds opened the scoring on 16 minutes when SANDRO DA COSTA latched on to a long Jack Bennett through ball before netting from the edge of the area.
On 38 minutes, the visitors added a second, KELVIN AMADO firing the ball home via an upright, this after great build up play on the left from Israel Aghahowa.
With the clock ticking down, Josh Brooks pulled off a smart save to keep out the home side, before a long clearance from deep inside the FC United half was helped on by Andy Uduebor for SANDRO DA COSTA to slot home the third in the 90th minute.
The result leaves FC United well placed in the four team mini league with 10 points from the four fixtures played so far, and just two games remaining.
