FC United of Manchester Youth’s National League u19 Alliance Division ’H’ fixture with Warrington Town Youth on Wednesday afternoon on the Broadhurst Park 3G ended some two minutes early with the score standing at two goals to three in favour of the visitors.

MASON BEARD had given the Young Reds an early lead on 9 minutes when he rolled the ball home past the Warrington ’keeper after being set up by Emmanuel Ujahchuku.

Warrington Town Youth drew level on 33 minutes from the penalty spot after Kevin Zokou was adjudged to have impeded an opponent. Home ’keeper Lenny Fieldhouse guessed right but couldn’t quite keep out FARIKAI GORE’s 12 yard kick.

Two minutes before half-time, the visitors edged in front when LOUIS SHARP was allowed space to hook the ball over the FC United defence and into the goal to put Warrington 2-1 up at the interval.

On 54 minutes, a wayward pass allowed JAWAD JEBRIN space to clip the ball past Lenny Fieldhouse from the narrowest of angles to make it 3-1 in Warrington’s favour.

That looked to be the end of the scoring until MASON BEARD pulled one back for FC United in the 94th minute from the penalty spot but there was to be no opportunity for FC United to play out the remaining two minutes after a mass confrontation then ensued between the two teams.

After the dust has settled from today’s fixture, FC United of Manchester Youth will next be in action in the National League u19 Alliance Division ’H’ on Wednesday 11th March 2020 when they travel to the Silverlands Stadium to take on Buxton FC Youth (KO 1.00 p.m.)
