The FC Utd U18’s put in one their best perforamces to beat the full time apprentices from league 2 side Morecambe FC.
FC were well incontrol for most of the game, with captain Liam James putting them ahead in the 14th minute with a cheeky, quick free kick that caught the keeper napping.
Despite plenty of pressure FC were unable to improve their lead before half time. After the break the possession and pressure continued with Vidal Mike finally increasing the lead in the 59th minute to score his eight goal in just 10 games. Matty Kirkwood completed the scoring with a well taken late effort.
Next up is Leigh RMI at St Brides next Sunday.
