In the season’s last home league game, FC’s women took on Beechfield United Ladies at their Abraham Moss training base in torrential conditions in their first league outing since 19 January. First-half strikes from Kirsty Chambers and Beth Tattersall were enough to secure a 2-0 victory and cement their runners-up spot in the league for the second successive season. Beechfield put in tremendous effort highlighted by the fact that centre half Chelsea Patient was the player of the game for FC United.
